Blackened Blue / Bleu Cheese Burgers on the Grill

One of my favorite versions of burgers to order out is something usually called a Blackened Bleu / Blue Cheese Burger.

I decided awhile ago to learn to make these at home, and here’s what I came up with.

Since Old Bay Seasoning in burgers was always a hit with me, I like to use Old Bay with Blackened Seasoning for the Blackened Bleu. There are others out there, like Chef Paul Prudhomme’s, and Zatarain’s Blackened Seasoning, as well as dozens of homemade versions (which I vow to try someday), but for now, the Old Bay version works great for me.

has anyone been riding? not much posting going on

     I just wondered who's riding and where.  I have seen some of you on the Sunday afternoon ride in Greenville.  I'm still trying to get used to my road bike again after spending most of my time on my mountain bike.  MS150 this next weekend, I'm looking forward to that.

An easy 20+ mile ride from Buhl Park (parking lot across from country club) this Wednesday, May 14 will depart at 5:45. We will ride if the weather allows.

Just a reminder that Pedal Pittsburgh is this Sunday.

    I was just wondering if anyone was planning on riding this Saturday May 10th?  I need to get some miles on my road bike before the MS 150.  I've been riding the mountain bike quite a bit but it's not the same.  If nobody posts before I leave I'll probably just head out on my own.

If the Weather is Right...

A group ride will depart Buhl Park from the parking lot across from the Country Club at 5:45 p.m. We plan to have an easy 20-30 mile ride. If all goes well, we hope to get back into our Tuesday/Thursday groove.
