just for all you who read the blog for the schedule of events. i just want to make clear that i said i would be there tonight regardles, "rain", or "shine." well i just wanted to clarify what that means to me. Rain- - -a dripping pour or sprinkle, versus the terrential downpour accompanied by lightning and thunder. Shine- - -well you all know that one.
reason being...i was once trying to beat a storm from new castle. i saw the deathly blackness in the sky and thought with around 15-20 miles to go, that i could beat it. Well approaching the 318 area on bethel new wilmington road, it got me. the winds were so bad, i felt like i should have had a V8 (ya know like them on that commercial), and was being blasted with sticks dirt and leaves. i passed a tree and the wind blew it over directly behind me. it hit the power lines and caused a wavelength in the cables, that all of a sudden seemed to be chasing me. i was so scared by this time that i blew through the intersection at 318 in front of two cars and straight into the garage of people whom were watching the storm.
in any case i just get pretty timid when the storms are intense. i dont mind the rain too too much it is just the nasty stuff. See you all later with hoods on...!
